Whether they’re shooters, strategy games, role-playing games or any other genre, we’ve found these games best encapsulate the experience of LAN play. Not to be confused with Top 10 Local Multiplayer games, We’re focusing on Networked PC and home console games that justify the convoluted and tricky setups to bring an experience that online play simply cannot replicate.

    Back in the day, there were other classic LAN games that are not mentioned in this review that were amazing. Namely : DUKE NUKEM 3D, QUAKE, Command & Conquer, C&C Red Alert , Quake 2 (ALL PC CLASSICS). DUKE3D was the 1st game I played in 1996 in DMA Design LAN networked against my work colleagues and was a regular lunchtime and after work experience! Hilarious FUN.
